Tamed Wild September 2021

Image
I know I haven't posted my last couple boxes, not because they weren't good, but because I am lazy. Anyhow I just had to post how much I love this garden/kitchen witch apron this month! Although I would love all my clothes to have pockets they don't or sometimes aren't big enough and this is the perfect fill in for pockets! I don't care for the over the head sort of aprons, but this little bar apron is perfect for harvesting plants or cooking!

Tamed Wild June 2021

I have learned that these little pendants are supposed to be charms which makes a lot more sense. Not every month has a charm, last month was a necklace. I really like this one, which was Lugh's shield and somewhere I have a charm necklace that I will use it on!  As I said before I always like books. This is a nice one giving information on many different gods!  The monthly tea, in this case an elixir with other things to help make it.  Like honey sticks and a dropper and  a bottle to put it in. Lastly, a desert rose I have seen these at local rock/mineral shops, but didn't really know what they were. They are gypsum crystal and very lovely. This one was a good size and it makes me happy!  In break down the honey sticks, dropper and bottle I could have done without. I have plenty of those. On the other hand, it isn't like they won't be used. Overall I give this month a 3 out of 5 stars. ⭐⭐⭐

Wild Rituals

They look like tarot cards, but they aren't.  They are ritual cards from Tamed Wild. They seem to always be sold out, so I finally put myself on the wait list and about a month later they showed up! There are 30 different cards simply rituals you can do. I ended up liking them even more than I expected. Mainly because the rituals are so simple, no eye of newt required! The only bad thing about them is the very small font which I need reading glasses to read. Then again, I need reading glasses for most things these days.

May Tamed Wild Box

I was super happy with this box! It came on the day of my second COVID shot and was the bright spot of that day!  The first thing I saw upon opening was The Earth and Animal Spirits book! I am always happy to get books and looking through this one since then - it is quite informative! The first part is about different animal spirits and second half are earth spirits like fairies, elves, gnomes and even goblins!  The second thing I pulled out wondering what it was ended up being a small bar of handmade soap with little amethyst chips inside! I can't wait to use and get all the chips out!  Next I opened the little box and inside was a green aventurine tree of life necklace! I have a couple tree of life pendants, but this one is quite different. It is a good size, around 2", not tiny like last months pendant. I've already worn it once!  Then the little bag, an adorable carved agate stone cat! Apparently there were quite a few different animals you could get and th...

Subscription boxes, part 3: Tamed Wild

Image
I just recently subscribed to Tamed Wild . It was sort of a toss up between that and Mindful Souls. However, Mindful Souls is about $20 more per month.  Since I subscribed at the end of March I ended up with the Ostara box even though Ostara had already passed. Possibly I should have waited a bit longer.  So was it worth the $20 subscription is the main question. Well, and that is sort of subjective because it also depends whether you like what you got, if you didn't it is pretty worthless.  First off, the box it came in was lovely, the sort of box you don't want to throw away even though you have no clue why you should save it!  I couldn't wait to open it and check out the contents!  First off, a tea light or "ritual candle" they call it. No information on what this is made from so I assume it is a normal candle, not soy or beeswax. Meh! I would not buy. Second, Rose of Jericho. I wasn't really sure what this was for. No real information other than it is ...
