Pepper Garden

Image
Probably about half my garden consists of peppers.  Serrano is doing great!  Jalapeno was slow, but now I have about 7 little babies!  Thai pepper are slow to turn red, but there are lots of them!  NM Chiles are doing super well and were the first to have babies. Still waiting for the purple bell pepper to get any sort of baby. I've never had much luck with bells for some reason. The reason I like growing peppers so much isn't for the pepper really. I can buy peppers pretty cheap at any market. The leaves are really why I grow them, they are great in salads and stir fry! Of course, the peppers don't go to waste either!

Tamed Wild June 2021

Image
I have learned that these little pendants are supposed to be charms which makes a lot more sense. Not every month has a charm, last month was a necklace. I really like this one, which was Lugh's shield and somewhere I have a charm necklace that I will use it on!  As I said before I always like books. This is a nice one giving information on many different gods!  The monthly tea, in this case an elixir with other things to help make it.  Like honey sticks and a dropper and  a bottle to put it in. Lastly, a desert rose I have seen these at local rock/mineral shops, but didn't really know what they were. They are gypsum crystal and very lovely. This one was a good size and it makes me happy!  In break down the honey sticks, dropper and bottle I could have done without. I have plenty of those. On the other hand, it isn't like they won't be used. Overall I give this month a 3 out of 5 stars. ⭐⭐⭐

Calling Rain!

Image
I had originally planned to do a nature meditation for Summer Solstice, but I already felt I knew what nature was saying. It is hot and dry and we need rain! So instead I made up a rain ritual.  Lapis, moonstone, a moonstone orgone point, bowl of water, lemon balm, stone cat on my tree of life carved selenite plate. I chose the moonstone, lapis and lemon balm because they all supposedly are water elements. I sprinkled water over the plate using the lemon balm and meditated on rain while using the rain stick over it. I also wore the tree of life pendant I got from Tamed Wild and 2 moonstone and 1 lapis ring. Will it do any good? Well, it can't hurt. Nothing, but sunshine forecast for the next few days so I may need to try again.

Skunk Ape Visit?

Image
Back in late 2010 and early 2011 I was involved with a group that was putting on a UFO/paranormal conference. We were meeting at one of the members house to work some stuff out. At one point Nancy, the person putting out the money for the conference called one of our speakers to run something by him. The speaker was Kewaunee Lapsertis, author of Psychic Sasquatch and several other Sasquatch books. Right as Nancy ended her phone call the most horrid odor enveloped the room! It wasn't like someone farted, although there was a sewer smell to it, but also mold, rot and a skunk like odor! Judging by reports of the creature called a skunk ape the smell was just like that! Some also say Sasquatch doesn't smell like roses either! I think I was the first to actually say something because we were all kind of shocked. I said something like what the heck is that smell? I remember Nancy saying "I don't know, but that is the second time I have had that happen after talking to Kewau

Wild Rituals

Image
They look like tarot cards, but they aren't.  They are ritual cards from Tamed Wild. They seem to always be sold out, so I finally put myself on the wait list and about a month later they showed up! There are 30 different cards simply rituals you can do. I ended up liking them even more than I expected. Mainly because the rituals are so simple, no eye of newt required! The only bad thing about them is the very small font which I need reading glasses to read. Then again, I need reading glasses for most things these days.

Mr. Stacky topples, but survives!

Image
I went out to check my garden today only to find my Mr. Stacky planter had blown over in the heavy winds last night! Thankfully only one plant had actually come out of its pot and there was only a bit of soil lost that I replaced. It seems fine now that it is back upright. It was probably mostly my fault since the ground is not completely level where I have it (or pretty much anywhere in my yard).  As you can maybe see from the photos, my kale and herbs (especially cilantro and lemon balm) are super happy! I still have one stack left that could be planted, but with it blowing over last night I am not sure about doing that. The top would totally be spilled out all over if there had been anything in there. Also, I kept a heavy metal garden sculpture with a heavy solid glass ball (it must weigh close to 5 lbs) in the top to try to keep it from blowing over!  Oh, and the top photo of this post is my mulberry tree! It is just full of berries! I am so happy because there were very few berrie

May Tamed Wild Box

Image
I was super happy with this box! It came on the day of my second COVID shot and was the bright spot of that day!  The first thing I saw upon opening was The Earth and Animal Spirits book! I am always happy to get books and looking through this one since then - it is quite informative! The first part is about different animal spirits and second half are earth spirits like fairies, elves, gnomes and even goblins!  The second thing I pulled out wondering what it was ended up being a small bar of handmade soap with little amethyst chips inside! I can't wait to use and get all the chips out!  Next I opened the little box and inside was a green aventurine tree of life necklace! I have a couple tree of life pendants, but this one is quite different. It is a good size, around 2", not tiny like last months pendant. I've already worn it once!  Then the little bag, an adorable carved agate stone cat! Apparently there were quite a few different animals you could get and they "in
