They wanted $45 dollars, plus shipping! I didn't like it that much so I checked Etsy and found I could get the exact same one from China for under $20 including shipping. He arrived today! I was sitting outside and enjoying rubbing his smooth cool head, not really thinking of anything and all of the sudden the name Pablo popped into my mind! I just assumed he was telling me his name. I would expect a Chinese name, but no that is what came into my head and it was pronounced correctly. Right now I am planning on keeping Pablo next to my bed, which may or may not be a good idea. I wait to see if he has anything else to say! <p></p><div><br /></div><div>Addendum: I looked up the meaning of the name Pablo and it was "small and humble." Yesterday it finally was clear and I walked around the yard to check stuff out. I came across the above sprouts. What was strange about it was not just that it is sort of a circle, but there was a mound of dirt in the middle that the plants were growing around. This one was right on a clear path with no other plants growing on it and I have no idea where the mound of dirt came from. Also, the plants look nothing like anything else sprouting on our property. There are plenty of weeds sprouting right now, but I am familiar with all our normal weeds and those don't look like any of them. Walking on about 12 feet I came across another one! <p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKtbeR1Q4-TrNv8KVis8rjSS4QLyDeLVwnDWpjxYbDsJRAiGyp219D_60Znft7rm_2en2DitDJnjXwE9C9_rw26xpcnT4QhMci-vIZfrozXRotpjMCEMIDt4ZQMo0jwCurNJwY9MusX9tYPk-f7EAFFUypqoBJjfdyI9YrRdAOVLIYktePgD4/s4032/IMG_5687.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKtbeR1Q4-TrNv8KVis8rjSS4QLyDeLVwnDWpjxYbDsJRAiGyp219D_60Znft7rm_2en2DitDJnjXwE9C9_rw26xpcnT4QhMci-vIZfrozXRotpjMCEMIDt4ZQMo0jwCurNJwY9MusX9tYPk-f7EAFFUypqoBJjfdyI9YrRdAOVLIYktePgD4/s320/IMG_5687.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><br /><p>Again, I know it is hard to tell from the photos, but a mound of dirt in the center with the plants growing around it. Of course, I have to buy plants too because I don't have the patience to grow everything from seeds. Onions, cantaloupe, pumpkins, bok choy and a plant I happened across called pineapple ground cherries. I didn't know what that was when I bought it, but after looking it up online I went back and bought another because it sounds delicious! Although, no bell peppers this year they just never yield much for me. Also, no NM green chile because it is so plentiful at the stores during harvest time and I can buy it already roasted. I am looking forward to making tabasco sauce for the first time! </p><p>Then the normal zucchini and other squash, 3 different types of tomatoes and 3 different types of cucumbers. I set up my altar around noon with plans to leave it until around 4pm when the wind was supposed to start. I had planned to have high tea out there around 3pm and even baked a blood orange cake for it yesterday. As almost always my weather app lied and the wind started around 2. At about 2:30 the goddess apparently decided her visit was over and sent a gust which toppled 2 of my stone eggs and my copper bowl and sent them rolling off the table! The eggs and bowl were unharmed and I had planned to scatter the flowers anyway, so it sort of all worked out.</p><p>I don't follow any set ritual. All my rituals are what I find intuitve to myself. This altar was pretty much the same as last year because that one seemed to work well! </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgltPF1_4jX7-DndHXmmoF0Im5R_UvLJaHB6RB5e_ybGn19snuzUufoT-6tHP3iEFIU86s0cSZKntybiNRQPV0zOYVaNVubDvoTL2nbsAM6bVcTzy4PSzzjXWvZUnMhbiYGT3DfyFIGx3uaEcvjIG6C-6AXhfUgGCtlmxHM1O7hbUYrUJKRoVE=s3024" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2126" data-original-width="3024" height="225" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgltPF1_4jX7-DndHXmmoF0Im5R_UvLJaHB6RB5e_ybGn19snuzUufoT-6tHP3iEFIU86s0cSZKntybiNRQPV0zOYVaNVubDvoTL2nbsAM6bVcTzy4PSzzjXWvZUnMhbiYGT3DfyFIGx3uaEcvjIG6C-6AXhfUgGCtlmxHM1O7hbUYrUJKRoVE=s320" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p>I use the copper crystal pyramid in the center of almost every altar I make. It is one of my favorite pieces. For years before I got it I had a spiral copper pendulum which was my favorite pendulum so when I saw that I had to have it! The sunstone wand and copper bowl are also on my list of favorite things! The eggs are sunstone, moss agate, rose quartz and selenite. The rabbit cup has the Tamed Wild Ostara tea in it which contains chamomile and peppermint. I use that cup all year for my own tea, but it is perfect for Ostara! The copper bowl is full of 8 different types of dried flowers. I made sure to put the largest dried sunflower I had on top to send blessings to the Ukraine and I certainly hope the light comes to them soon! </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiDZEPzbQfYytPUBXkIQh3nNQjg361o5w3p-HjR57hNajmiE9Ocmkk_r2j9VVCbIuyppBXofSZBa7ZyyBBmGrevbT7ORFN6GEWG2SuOOHou4XF7dAtqacQKNR49heiFqNCoxoC-hBVdpGIcPq_jYvwlHwvMWnx3z5LllIcmj0IYleFsOeBonvQ=s3339" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3339" data-original-width="3024" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiDZEPzbQfYytPUBXkIQh3nNQjg361o5w3p-HjR57hNajmiE9Ocmkk_r2j9VVCbIuyppBXofSZBa7ZyyBBmGrevbT7ORFN6GEWG2SuOOHou4XF7dAtqacQKNR49heiFqNCoxoC-hBVdpGIcPq_jYvwlHwvMWnx3z5LllIcmj0IYleFsOeBonvQ=s320" width="290" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p>LesleyinNMhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07650512451759278182noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20428996.post-18683574559688804262022-02-18T19:33:00.000-07:002022-02-18T19:33:55.384-07:00Looking Forward<p> I am having a hard time waiting for Spring even though I am sure it must be near! </p><p>I miss my garden! I already ordered a bunch of seeds in anticipation! Also, I had so many good ideas for craft projects over the cold months that I want to try, but since I like doing my projects outside I am waiting a bit! </p><p>It is good to have something to look forward to! </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhGu2V4tfmAuMJQMDQDbY6iEAu6zLliHV_fsGyFW5HHKuhe9bg6JtcPNhl8gC0NmDXH-ECWFlkovaxchc9nzrJXG34j2Z2SIkvScYd5pk30kSeoy2unE_yPhBuItNA4HUoKaUjZeB-CaD-g1t-NqClXMHbb-a2K4DkxA720pRFWWSDmP5H8Lbo=s501" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="501" data-original-width="387" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhGu2V4tfmAuMJQMDQDbY6iEAu6zLliHV_fsGyFW5HHKuhe9bg6JtcPNhl8gC0NmDXH-ECWFlkovaxchc9nzrJXG34j2Z2SIkvScYd5pk30kSeoy2unE_yPhBuItNA4HUoKaUjZeB-CaD-g1t-NqClXMHbb-a2K4DkxA720pRFWWSDmP5H8Lbo=s320" width="247" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p>LesleyinNMhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07650512451759278182noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20428996.post-2456603269599194382022-02-11T20:29:00.002-07:002022-05-10T19:24:10.022-06:00Good and Bad<p> When I was in grade school I became friends with a girl who lived a couple blocks away. She lived in a low income apartment, but I didn't know that at the time. She was super nice and sweet and for a couple months we had fun playing together. Then she moved, which I think was one of many times for her. </p><p>Years later, when I was around 24 I had one of my first manager jobs and she ended up being one of my employees, along with her husband. She was still super nice and sweet. However, although I have no real proof I believe her husband was abusive and likely an addict of some sort. At the time they had at least 3 children, all under 5 years. The reason I believe her husband was abusive is because if he was around she was always quiet or seemed afraid to speak because she might upset him. When he wasn't around she was the same girl I had known. </p><p>At some point $10 went missing from my purse. I knew it was her or her husband, they were the only people back there alone where it was. I chose to say nothing, even though $10 was a lot of me back then. I knew she wouldn't have done it if it wasn't an emergency. She had 3 young children and could no longer get help such as food stamps because of some problem. I just hope it didn't go for her husband's drugs, although, even that may have given her relief. Well, I always kept any cash in my pocket after that because I wasn't rolling in dough either.</p><p>A few years ago I looked her up online and found she had passed away some years ago at the young age of 45! She had 5 children and numerous grandchildren. This just makes me sad, I don't know what her life was like after the last time I saw her, but I do know she deserved much better when I knew her. She had a good soul and if she had a way to help someone she would. </p><p>I know it is a contradiction to say someone stole from you and was still a good and kind person, but that is the truth. We are all contradictions and can go from good to bad as is necessary. </p><p>I was just thinking of her today and felt the need to write this. </p>LesleyinNMhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07650512451759278182noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20428996.post-31803307035625122502022-02-04T17:10:00.003-07:002022-02-04T17:12:16.472-07:00Update<p> Wow! I haven't posted here in a long while. I am sharing a computer with Brit and he has been writing so that leaves me with my phone which would take me forever to type out a post on. </p><p>Except for a big snow storm a couple days ago winter has been pretty uneventful here. Oh yeah, we had COVID for Christmas! I had a super mild case, but Brit had it bad! We have both recovered now. </p><p>Mostly looking forward to Spring when I can start gardening again! I really have missed having something to do outside these past months. Luckily, most of the winter was warm enough that I could have my coffee outside in the late morning. </p><p>I shall try to return soon with some sort of real post! 😀</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhDF4iN5fh06CyykEVwmj2-QMjPI5z0hhdryNUZ0tFX4dHMHwBirpNdUieu_p_0nHd5w7HnZEZT1S3c5HBbSP6RDVcay4xz1bEd4EOR5H4M6mj_avwkTf29pL7Pj8aFjTJBX3LnsJ_ZkC46ljjh3b9myxzyDKmUVkWOcUGRPj7bRA1APtAzZks=s1792" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1344" data-original-width="1792" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhDF4iN5fh06CyykEVwmj2-QMjPI5z0hhdryNUZ0tFX4dHMHwBirpNdUieu_p_0nHd5w7HnZEZT1S3c5HBbSP6RDVcay4xz1bEd4EOR5H4M6mj_avwkTf29pL7Pj8aFjTJBX3LnsJ_ZkC46ljjh3b9myxzyDKmUVkWOcUGRPj7bRA1APtAzZks=s320" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p>LesleyinNMhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07650512451759278182noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20428996.post-26240969885352728002022-01-29T01:45:00.001-07:002022-01-29T01:46:42.062-07:00Ugh!<p> Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but I am pretty damn lazy and I had the horrid COVID! Anyhow I just had to post how much I love this garden/kitchen witch apron this month! Although I would love all my clothes to have pockets they don't or sometimes aren't big enough and this is the perfect fill in for pockets! I don't care for the over the head sort of aprons, but this little bar apron is perfect for harvesting plants or cooking! </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg48rfalXpthViwvf4h3hQ3Cf8qCwrafq66sBAkA3CBWINtrZ2D1uyWgitIPz3waS0v3606ttUka8cO4p_cioJlzlaVcApcQf-xW4_aHxdRebVPXXkI8UUCL4327ODiOfWQxBrRiw/s1200/unnamed+%25283%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="730" data-original-width="1200" height="195" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg48rfalXpthViwvf4h3hQ3Cf8qCwrafq66sBAkA3CBWINtrZ2D1uyWgitIPz3waS0v3606ttUka8cO4p_cioJlzlaVcApcQf-xW4_aHxdRebVPXXkI8UUCL4327ODiOfWQxBrRiw/s320/unnamed+%25283%2529.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p>LesleyinNMhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07650512451759278182noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20428996.post-36407635893093028532021-09-30T23:48:00.002-06:002021-10-07T18:17:24.228-06:00'Bony Buddha:' Skeletal statues crop up near a two-lane highway in southern New Mexico<p> </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVuXS_2_G2-BUexuFvdJSNSKQHEqmZUPn2B276Cx6hguXE3zMeFms7HfZ4KALGRGCGO7g8BJApg3YbA9yaqo1fkUfo-cXcASYx_e6WpJ1QRMuHEXYYdNYhz-lFJuZxf3eUyPD5WQ/s450/0ad6ac1d-dbd5-4f8a-bad0-50ceb08e5ca7-HK8A0243.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="300" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVuXS_2_G2-BUexuFvdJSNSKQHEqmZUPn2B276Cx6hguXE3zMeFms7HfZ4KALGRGCGO7g8BJApg3YbA9yaqo1fkUfo-cXcASYx_e6WpJ1QRMuHEXYYdNYhz-lFJuZxf3eUyPD5WQ/s320/0ad6ac1d-dbd5-4f8a-bad0-50ceb08e5ca7-HK8A0243.jpeg" width="213" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><a href="https://www.lcsun-news.com/story/news/local/2021/09/28/skeleton-buddha-statues-new-mexico-luna-county-deming-day-dead/5798912001/?cid=undefined_Las_Cruces_Sun-News&fbclid=IwAR3hkLg6H3w8QA0FmtoXt_0dV3_rqeVzOPHHmM_WzSjC2LKh89smI-KNjAU" target="_blank">Near Deming. </a><p></p>LesleyinNMhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07650512451759278182noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20428996.post-29785435947638959722021-09-25T19:18:00.006-06:002021-10-07T18:18:13.757-06:00Re: My previous post<p> So I know the first thing that came to mind was that it looked like my dog's kong toy, which it did. It wasn't until I was waking up the next morning that I realized it looked a lot like my blanket! The shade of green was different, but it was the same colors! It looked very much like the top shaped one, only with some rusty red added to it and no cat hair! Below is my facebook post from that day.</p><p><span face="Roboto, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif" style="background-color: white; color: #050505; font-size: 15px; white-space: pre-wrap;">Around 7:30 this evening I was sitting out on the front porch. Watching the sunset and playing on my phone. I look up to the south and there is this THING in the sky! It reminded me of my dog's kong toy. It was bell shaped and floating silently across the sky. I took video and photos. Sadly, only 1 short video exists because apparently I was so excited that I forgot to click record! No matter, you need full screen to actually see it on the video because I couldn't zoom and I don't know that would work here on FB. I could have thought that maybe this was just a hot air balloon because it seemed to be around that size (no sound from it), but I took four steps back after my photos, yelled into the house for Brit to come out and see it and when I look for it again it was GONE! JUST DISAPPEARED! The photos need to be enlarged as much as possible to see it.</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgw7s7MDvvoAFA72cIXBrGucXzq8FLtRLGZGb03-ujgll4bcmIzjuASjsi86uc1HB_Wq7D1yrMvcRSZysOD5A9QGe_Hc0Xpp1IrI5FN8HfbEl1q7YdMpSS3fd416TnjAcRob50SHg/s2048/IMG_3816b.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1851" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgw7s7MDvvoAFA72cIXBrGucXzq8FLtRLGZGb03-ujgll4bcmIzjuASjsi86uc1HB_Wq7D1yrMvcRSZysOD5A9QGe_Hc0Xpp1IrI5FN8HfbEl1q7YdMpSS3fd416TnjAcRob50SHg/s320/IMG_3816b.JPG" width="289" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVgiV6YtM26iqcOjVcJSZKMO9K4khbhDt8YLti0X8Ze-v7FSpwPfc05mqCkRn-cAxde1mxXgbCH2H2DydjcRRv3KFpGi5KxV1ebrZ80tLzjybvu3mHmD0nYrMFz6SAN29FdBvhTg/s2048/IMG_3812.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVgiV6YtM26iqcOjVcJSZKMO9K4khbhDt8YLti0X8Ze-v7FSpwPfc05mqCkRn-cAxde1mxXgbCH2H2DydjcRRv3KFpGi5KxV1ebrZ80tLzjybvu3mHmD0nYrMFz6SAN29FdBvhTg/s320/IMG_3812.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWDytSGE9B3s9gvDGWlf3F1vh0GYsjkU1n9OaOaX0MvZQYJt6qf4BjcguKKwKwJgXiFOIf8_JHDM0O-LQRq__XtEnDmRGX99P510naytR6LD_TD9Hm2aDcPW5M9GWTsA9LMv1Ybw/s2048/IMG_3813.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWDytSGE9B3s9gvDGWlf3F1vh0GYsjkU1n9OaOaX0MvZQYJt6qf4BjcguKKwKwJgXiFOIf8_JHDM0O-LQRq__XtEnDmRGX99P510naytR6LD_TD9Hm2aDcPW5M9GWTsA9LMv1Ybw/s320/IMG_3813.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRek_9kxd4Q9RYc6kcF97-i441lTx3Md6rCU-hS3f_pouGnbys3KEvUXYIVAU9kNFqqVPTIaZm00oYHMGUB7r2tZ3oYFhAoWFpnRps9kWUW-yg-j3pm8WkSxMRw6eaar1muvaSFw/s2048/IMG_3814.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRek_9kxd4Q9RYc6kcF97-i441lTx3Md6rCU-hS3f_pouGnbys3KEvUXYIVAU9kNFqqVPTIaZm00oYHMGUB7r2tZ3oYFhAoWFpnRps9kWUW-yg-j3pm8WkSxMRw6eaar1muvaSFw/s320/IMG_3814.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvBaXlv5o-AiAU3n1tyiP6zoavBM0ARUzGKM3oKAG4tFz7j-8tgcWp007KMQ2CHqdK6g0JriHWde0BiK2Na3Am2ypxwKDKVVlYTVGMfCGGhuJFxJcHsojqIwNhdQRl7j5b3MF30g/s2048/IMG_3815.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvBaXlv5o-AiAU3n1tyiP6zoavBM0ARUzGKM3oKAG4tFz7j-8tgcWp007KMQ2CHqdK6g0JriHWde0BiK2Na3Am2ypxwKDKVVlYTVGMfCGGhuJFxJcHsojqIwNhdQRl7j5b3MF30g/s320/IMG_3815.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhu-CpDRURwi2hVefu9iA4xt-U4PtY4xeriSaNkKzpihybUb0x45Yc3JtpbWIjLeunBC4CeP6s4Np7WLuN2ZsSn-qIivPvAO2N8gHv47OVsf66dqfZRtpMvtP1MMjkscbbJqnFwAw/s2048/IMG_3816.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhu-CpDRURwi2hVefu9iA4xt-U4PtY4xeriSaNkKzpihybUb0x45Yc3JtpbWIjLeunBC4CeP6s4Np7WLuN2ZsSn-qIivPvAO2N8gHv47OVsf66dqfZRtpMvtP1MMjkscbbJqnFwAw/s320/IMG_3816.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><span face="Roboto, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif" style="background-color: white; color: #050505; font-size: 15px; white-space: pre-wrap;"><br /></span><p></p><p><span face="Roboto, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif" style="background-color: #f0f2f5; color: #050505; font-size: 15px;">Some additional notes before I forget: I watched this object for at least 3 minutes before it disappeared. It seemed to be coming towards me. It looks further away in the photos than it seemed to be as I watched it. I believe that is because my iPhone automatically takes wide shots. There was probably a better setting to use, but I didn’t know what it was. As I was watching it, it seemed to be changing colors. The colors I noticed were black, a dark green, rusty red and a golden yellow color.</span></p>LesleyinNMhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07650512451759278182noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20428996.post-68800619932736892452021-09-20T10:34:00.006-06:002021-09-20T11:09:41.704-06:00Bigfoot in NM?<p> This is a post from the National Bigfoot Research Organization on Sept 13, 2021. Mind you, I had been in the kitchen just a few moments before pouring the hot water and adding the tea and noticed nothing unusual. When I entered there was the most overwhelming strong smell! It was not necessarily a bad smell, it was like a very sweet smelling perfume, but like a gallon of whatever it was had spilled! The only thing I could come up with was that my fruit on the counter was rotting, but it was fine. I then checked my tea to make sure that wasn't it. No. I stuck my nose in every cabinet, the fridge and the trash and the smell did not seem to be coming from any of those places! I went back to the living room pondering what on earth it could be. A minute later Brit went into the kitchen comes back into the living room and asks me why the kitchen smells like perfume. I tell him I have no idea and will have to figure it out tomorrow. I am sitting sipping my tea and I start to smell a hint of it in the living room, this irritates me so I go the the kitchen to once again try to search out the smell. When I get to the kitchen the smell is completely gone! Just disappeared! I come back to the living room and it is gone from there too! </p><p>I can come up with several "paranormal" explanations. My favorite is that my friend Skylaire who died two days before was paying me a visit.</p><p>As for "logical" explanations the best I can do is that the kitchen door was open (the screen door shut) and there was some sort of weird smelling creature hoping to get into my trashcan on the back porch. </p>LesleyinNMhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07650512451759278182noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20428996.post-84229995387782365472021-08-07T19:45:00.003-06:002021-08-07T19:50:20.467-06:00Preservation Day #1<p> Gardens are great, but you do end up with more than you can eat even with a small garden like mine. So today I had to do some preserving for later. </p><p>I had planned to make pickles, so I could have made the brine last night for it to chill, but of course that didn't cross my mind so I made it today and had to wait for it to chill a bit. In the mean time I made brunch for us and made Brit a smoothie. Then I decided to shred my zucchini for freezing. I have the magical salad shooter that make it really easy. I did two zucchinis and ended up with 3 cups shredded. Then you just squeeze as much water as possible out of them and pop into a freezer bag so you can use in the future for bread or stir fry. It is hot and dry and we need rain! So instead I made up a rain ritual. </p><p>Lapis, moonstone, a moonstone orgone point, bowl of water, lemon balm, stone cat on my tree of life carved selenite plate. I chose the moonstone, lapis and lemon balm because they all supposedly are water elements. I sprinkled water over the plate using the lemon balm and meditated on rain while using the rain stick over it. I also wore the tree of life pendant I got from Tamed Wild and 2 moonstone and 1 lapis ring.</p><p>Will it do any good? Well, it can't hurt. Nothing, but sunshine forecast for the next few days so I may need to try again. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjmyfop-RKssV66InJEy1fZvwAa8yD5AyxGOQ6u2Vx8Ujm1B0f3LHcSFqnl0fCZeauZfrx97i99O4jCPRGVl7Fkalrx0rEL0Y1jR11BHDSdA40Sl8d7omCk9Sme_ZtgBkdfmPk3g/s2048/IMG_3118.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1765" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjmyfop-RKssV66InJEy1fZvwAa8yD5AyxGOQ6u2Vx8Ujm1B0f3LHcSFqnl0fCZeauZfrx97i99O4jCPRGVl7Fkalrx0rEL0Y1jR11BHDSdA40Sl8d7omCk9Sme_ZtgBkdfmPk3g/s320/IMG_3118.jpg" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p>LesleyinNMhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07650512451759278182noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20428996.post-35013157952675713022021-06-12T20:33:00.003-06:002021-08-01T19:47:08.428-06:00Skunk Ape Visit?<p> Back in late 2010 and early 2011 I was involved with a group that was putting on a UFO/paranormal conference. We were meeting at one of the members house to work some stuff out. At one point Nancy, the person putting out the money for the conference called one of our speakers to run something by him. The speaker was Kewaunee Lapsertis, author of Psychic Sasquatch and several other Sasquatch books. Right as Nancy ended her phone call the most horrid odor enveloped the room! It wasn't like someone farted, although there was a sewer smell to it, but also mold, rot and a skunk like odor! Judging by reports of the creature called a skunk ape the smell was just like that! Some also say Sasquatch doesn't smell like roses either! I think I was the first to actually say something because we were all kind of shocked. I said something like what the heck is that smell? I remember Nancy saying "I don't know, but that is the second time I have had that happen after talking to Kewaunee!" The odor lasted quite a while, at least 3 minutes and didn't slowly fade, but just disappeared! </p><p>I am sure I probably wrote about this incident somewhere when it happened. I had not thought about it in years, but the other night I dreamed it exactly as it happened and because of that I thought there must be some reason I was suppose to remember, think about it again or write about it. I don't know what the reason is, but maybe that will come to me eventually. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivjuCm_zqqBrqHx9V4WP4p8xEo3ALtF1KDTi1N-wQFnDxlYeKVS7Xj04kB_2qOgw9c4SuxdC02B1ZmeJyPCfNTmqYkYdZGeye86TDBAn7Uv5Yuz4zRQQbRjSQH1W_k6UYoQuZlJw/s1360/9c93b2dc6c493b2f297e9d7fe23d3ebe.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1360" data-original-width="800" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivjuCm_zqqBrqHx9V4WP4p8xEo3ALtF1KDTi1N-wQFnDxlYeKVS7Xj04kB_2qOgw9c4SuxdC02B1ZmeJyPCfNTmqYkYdZGeye86TDBAn7Uv5Yuz4zRQQbRjSQH1W_k6UYoQuZlJw/s320/9c93b2dc6c493b2f297e9d7fe23d3ebe.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><p><br /></p>LesleyinNMhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07650512451759278182noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20428996.post-90221616014468172532021-06-04T21:01:00.000-06:002021-06-04T21:01:05.858-06:00Wild Rituals <p> They look like tarot cards, but they aren't. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaWmJNEOi_X9XichMptD0qNLbxL7HjukZolfu7tQsmRj2rvQOHu_6nDh2gfjzn7ixsI2KJKyPqBRwJcuppAGgOoXIcZxLhNJE6HPLB1PrrUTIBm0trov9JQmC6lB0cMKe5y3uxIg/s2048/IMG_3057.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1520" data-original-width="2048" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaWmJNEOi_X9XichMptD0qNLbxL7HjukZolfu7tQsmRj2rvQOHu_6nDh2gfjzn7ixsI2KJKyPqBRwJcuppAGgOoXIcZxLhNJE6HPLB1PrrUTIBm0trov9JQmC6lB0cMKe5y3uxIg/s320/IMG_3057.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p>They are ritual cards from Tamed Wild. Thankfully only one plant had actually come out of its pot and there was only a bit of soil lost that I replaced. It seems fine now that it is back upright. It was probably mostly my fault since the ground is not completely level where I have it (or pretty much anywhere in my yard). <div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4qoRQo43fcQns6TGWvYbLBImQmnNinpVxK13C2ceOMv-CvMc_uyTaOOgD73PE-3NErjnQByhyphenhyphenOdGS1V6U6OV-1NC7eXNXxdAem0VNNdmu3DC5CJeLKEKwLGFKtuw8u0hAavX_RQ/s2048/IMG_3034.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1216" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4qoRQo43fcQns6TGWvYbLBImQmnNinpVxK13C2ceOMv-CvMc_uyTaOOgD73PE-3NErjnQByhyphenhyphenOdGS1V6U6OV-1NC7eXNXxdAem0VNNdmu3DC5CJeLKEKwLGFKtuw8u0hAavX_RQ/s320/IMG_3034.JPG" /></a></div><br /><div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSnyooM9Jh8E_JbTJph-j67sixXw5pv0Zf5Pod_YbDUaJmcJ2N8qfGwmjTr1aH4PLCoLeTHKtWYGtsusTiqqaPc0UI5A4liQbfH0Vd_BeVu4eEMIK04mpT-YespQBZaqe93oogCw/s2048/IMG_3035.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1290" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSnyooM9Jh8E_JbTJph-j67sixXw5pv0Zf5Pod_YbDUaJmcJ2N8qfGwmjTr1aH4PLCoLeTHKtWYGtsusTiqqaPc0UI5A4liQbfH0Vd_BeVu4eEMIK04mpT-YespQBZaqe93oogCw/s320/IMG_3035.JPG" /></a></div><br /><div><br /></div><div>As you can maybe see from the photos, my kale and herbs (especially cilantro and lemon balm) are super happy! I still have one stack left that could be planted, but with it blowing over last night I am not sure about doing that. The top would totally be spilled out all over if there had been anything in there. Also, I kept a heavy metal garden sculpture with a heavy solid glass ball (it must weigh close to 5 lbs) in the top to try to keep it from blowing over! </div></div><div><br /></div><div>Oh, and the top photo of this post is my mulberry tree! It is just full of berries! I am so happy because there were very few berries last summer and I was afraid it might be sick. </div>LesleyinNMhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07650512451759278182noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20428996.post-69380933248931384732021-05-26T19:29:00.004-06:002021-05-26T19:29:40.709-06:00May Tamed Wild Box<p> I was super happy with this box! It came on the day of my second COVID shot and was the bright spot of that day! </p><p>The first thing I saw upon opening was The Earth and Animal Spirits book! I am always happy to get books and looking through this one since then - it is quite informative! The first part is about different animal spirits and second half are earth spirits like fairies, elves, gnomes and even goblins! </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisxt3oi5r_oG4aXB7XyIDHhoivhiX8wU4Rs45H5GqSKOnTX5QMJTlkuoRQMR6OZeuWM4V42-yUjRnobevcvVOhNsTmOUnPU1oWHz8leouCkXJBMV2BpDozSNUe8i_vqiwL2j8y1w/s2048/IMG_3014.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1804" data-original-width="2048" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisxt3oi5r_oG4aXB7XyIDHhoivhiX8wU4Rs45H5GqSKOnTX5QMJTlkuoRQMR6OZeuWM4V42-yUjRnobevcvVOhNsTmOUnPU1oWHz8leouCkXJBMV2BpDozSNUe8i_vqiwL2j8y1w/s320/IMG_3014.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p>The second thing I pulled out wondering what it was ended up being a small bar of handmade soap with little amethyst chips inside! I can't wait to use and get all the chips out! </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiN5DZh-GENPJNJHfBiye_vCn0wagFiXgMwlMYZpi6FaE-AEB5ElUb-vYCuu0ILUE5WxuMtYtw9T9vPAbk7tB_xa84ForrZy1r0rBrhvSDptOmrmE8UhONS292aR1aP4D88DJcaYQ/s2048/IMG_3016.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1366" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiN5DZh-GENPJNJHfBiye_vCn0wagFiXgMwlMYZpi6FaE-AEB5ElUb-vYCuu0ILUE5WxuMtYtw9T9vPAbk7tB_xa84ForrZy1r0rBrhvSDptOmrmE8UhONS292aR1aP4D88DJcaYQ/s320/IMG_3016.jpg" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><p>Next I opened the little box and inside was a green aventurine tree of life necklace! I have a couple tree of life pendants, but this one is quite different. It is a good size, around 2", not tiny like last months pendant. Not a lot so far, but my container zucchini (I almost always have good luck with that), container eggplant and arugula. I've never grown arugula before and haven't in the past much luck with eggplant, but we'll see how it goes. I am hoping more seeds will eventually sprout.</p><p>In the meantime, I bought this niffy "Mr Stacky" 5 tier planter which I am filling with herbs and small plants. So far, sweet basil, thai basil, cilantro, lemon balm and a couple succulents. There is also something called pineapple sage, but I will be moving that tomorrow because I didn't realize it grows to 3 feet tall! I also planted a few herbs in the yard, echinacea (purple cornflower), chamomile, which I've never had much luck with, but love the dainty little flowers and the smell. Also, Bee Balm which I had luck with in the past for a few years, but that was with daily watering. I put it in a shadier spot this time and hope it won't need so much attention. </p><p>I am debating whether to buy another Mr Stacky because I really love the one I have. Although, probably I should fill this one first. I haven't even completed 2 tiers and have 3 to go. Hoping to use some of my seedlings (assuming more sprout) like lettuce and the arugula. I think one of those tiers will be strawberries. Trying to figure out a place in the house by a window and maybe bring in for the winter. Things like that are hard though with little unoccupied space, a huge dog and 3 cats! </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaalaurp3DWQiTs4iw0YgS35KiDkDyQiJwzR1fD-UyHfO1D59fjAuIY5J5hez805-Jr4weCejRwgrguYW-uC4HM-1-wT2KWIwPJxm3ftYSbGij8uPg3-6QWyU28GCEWFrW0_ojbA/s2048/IMG_2942.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaalaurp3DWQiTs4iw0YgS35KiDkDyQiJwzR1fD-UyHfO1D59fjAuIY5J5hez805-Jr4weCejRwgrguYW-uC4HM-1-wT2KWIwPJxm3ftYSbGij8uPg3-6QWyU28GCEWFrW0_ojbA/s320/IMG_2942.JPG" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p>LesleyinNMhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07650512451759278182noreply@blogger.com0
